Due to staff shortages the POD is currently experiencing capacity issues.  

Calling the POD for your repeat medication

The call queue has a message that all patients hear advising them of the alternative methods of getting through to us i.e. the text message & online form requests for call backs. After this message if the call queue is busy it will tell them this and the call will end. 

If you are trying to get through on the telephone during a busy time an alternative way to contact us is by completing the online call back request form on the following link:

Text and online call backs to and from the POD

Text and online call backs will be completed within a maximum of 48 working hours.  We are currently telephoning many patients back only to be told they have already managed to get through on the phone so therefore causing double the workload.

Alternatively you can text the word REPEAT followed by the name of your GP practice to 07903586972 e.g. for Springhill Medical Centre text: REPEAT SPRINGHILL. A call handler will then call you back within 48 hours.

Premises of the POD - Relocation

Over August Bank Holiday weekend POD has also relocated all staff to the Coventry office.  This has been a big upheaval and we have lost staff because of this. Recruitment is ongoing but due to unfortunate delays we are still not up to full capacity with some staff still in training.  We are hopeful that in the next couple of weeks we will be back to full capacity and the service will greatly improve.
